This year, on the 5th of June, we celebrate World Environment Day, with the theme of ‘Only One Earth’. This focuses on living sustainably in harmony with nature. Over 150 countries participate in World Environmental Day annually.
This global campaign calls for transformative changes to policies and choices to enable cleaner, greener, and sustainable living in harmony with nature.
The human mind knows no boundaries. But our planet does. We have Created so much. But often at the cost of nature. We can no longer continue down a path of irreversible harm to the environment. Let’s renew our resolve and our climate. Let’s strengthen our communities and our biodiversity. Let’s rethink how we consume, revive what we destroyed and reconnect with what sustains us. Our home.
There are 17 Sustainable Development Goals in place as a target to achieve by 2023, set up by the United Nations. These goals are designed to be a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.
