This year, 134 respondents completed our annual survey. This survey invited feedback on the future of the Understanding Faith platform and our vision to shape it not just for teaching, but around how teachers truly think, plan and connect with their students.
Over the next 12 months, Understanding Faith will focus on significant upgrades to the resource, shaped directly by what our subscribers told us.
NEW FEATURES
Survey respondents expressed strong enthusiasm for a range of new features, indicating that the following additions would be well received:
- Animated infographics
- Accessibility widget
- Improved search engine incorporating AI capabilities
- Animated flashcards
- Integrated curriculum mapping
TEACHER SUPPORT
Respondents also highlighted the importance of dedicated teacher support around these new features. The majority indicated a preference for video tutorials, with a particular focus on practical guidance for using the Understanding Faith resource in the areas of lesson planning, assessment, and curriculum mapping.
ASSESSMENT TOOLS
An outstanding 97% of respondents would like to see assessment tools integrated into the resource. Possible inclusions under consideration include:
- Lockable interactive activities
- Learning activities with marking rubric and student exemplars
- Short/long answer questions with marking rubric and student exemplars
- Essay questions for senior students with marking rubric and student exemplars
PROGRESS TRACKING
Finally, respondents indicated that a progress tracking feature would add meaningful value to the resource. Areas identified as most useful for tracking include working through set content, completing units, completing learning activities, and completing quizzes.
